Srinagar: Five terrorists have been killed in three separate operations that went on throughout the night in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Police have said that two terrorists of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) were killed during an encounter in Chewakalan area of ​​Pulwama. One of them has been identified as Kamal Bhai, a Pakistani Jaish commander, who was active since 2018.

At the same time, security forces killed 2 terrorists in an encounter in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir. One of the terrorists killed was a member of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. The identity of the second terrorist is yet to be ascertained. The encounter took place in Serach area of ​​Ganderbal. The search operation is still on. A Lashkar terrorist has been killed in an encounter at Nechama in Rajwar area of ​​Handwara. Kashmir Zone Police has tweeted from its official Twitter handle that, "Encounter has started in Nechama, Rajwar area of ​​Handwara. Police and security forces are on the job. Further information is awaited."

Kashmir's Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that the security forces launched a joint operation at four to five places on Friday night, in which two Jaish terrorists and two Lashkar terrorists were killed. The security forces have also arrested a terrorist alive. Encounters in Handwara and Pulwama are over. Another terrorist has been killed in Ganderbal.
