Bangalore: CM Basavaraj Bommai has announced that 5,000 teachers will be appointed in the state in the current year. He was speaking after presenting the Best Teacher Award at the Teachers' Day event held at the Banquet Hall of the Assembly on September 5. At the request of Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh, CM Bommai said that 5,000 teachers will be recruited this year.

CM Bommai said the 21st century is the century of knowledge. From time, knowledge to science, from science to technology, and technology to software is moving rapidly. He further said that it is inevitable that teachers will have to coordinate with speed. He said that a person can become a good teacher only if he is a good student. CM Bommai said teachers who encourage children to question are true teachers.

He said the new education policy is being implemented and teachers should come out with their opinions and doubts and discuss the issue openly. He said the student-centric new education policy should be implemented successfully. Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh said the National Education Policy, which includes intelligence, compassion, skills, and training, complements the creation of an independent country.
