Cold, considered amongst the most infectious diseases is something you come across almost thrice a week. Well, for a fact, once you catch a cold, there's no real remedy for it. It is a slow and gradual process that demands rest for your body. But, there are ways to speed up the process of recovery. You can follow these simple steps to lower the symptoms of cold and avoid feeling extremely unwell. 

1. Keep Your Body Hydrated:

Water, Lime juice added with a little honey can be used to keep your body hydrated and relieve congestion. One must try to avoid beverages containing caffeine like tea and coffee and sodas that may dehydrate the body for worse.

2. Take rest:

Cold weakens your body and it requires rest. You must provide enough amount of rest to your body. Keep away from phones, tablets, and laptops, during your period of rest. Even your brain needs rest.

3. Treating the sore throat:

A sore throat is one of the most annoying aspects of cold. Gargle for at least 5 times a day with 2 tablespoons of salt in one glass water to cure your sore throat. You may also use lozenges and sore throat sprays for better results.
