Madhya Pradesh: 50 Doctors resigned fearing coronavirus

Bhopal: Due to the global epidemic coronavirus the doctors are now in fear. Out of 92 doctors who recently completed their medical studies from Gajra Raja Medical College, Gwalior, 50 have resigned. They were all medical officers, they were contracted for three months to fight the epidemic on 1 April itself. Since then, there has been a demand from the Indian Medical Association on social media that the license of doctors who have escaped from duty will be cancelled.

Officials say that these people had already resigned. Though ESMA is applicable in the state, after its implementation, people connected with essential services cannot withdraw from duty. 114 people were appointed on contract in Gajraja Medical College, in which only 92 people joined. The duty of these doctors was imposed in the super speciality and isolation ward. Out of which 50 have resigned. Only 42 doctors appointed on contract are left here. The difficulties of patients may increase in the coming days.

According to the GRMC management, it was said that on the orders of the government, on completion of the internship of 92 doctors, we had deployed for three months on contractual appointment for an emergency in coronavirus. Meanwhile, a new order of the Medical Registration Council came, in which it was said that doctors who are willing can offer their services. As many as 50 doctors have resigned as soon as the word of order is received.
