Guwahati: A surprising case has come to light from Hojai district of Aam. A group of land mafia has attempted to kill the woman alive. Some locals have made a video of the incident. This incident of burning woman alive on social media is going viral. The victim has been identified as Saleha Begum.

After the fire, the woman was resuscitated by the police and she was admitted to the hospital. The accident took place in Samrali area under Murzhar police station. On Thursday, the landlords also tried to grab the woman's land. When the victim and other family members reached the spot and stopped the people by capturing the land, then people tried to kill the woman by burning them alive. In the viral video, some people were trying to plow the land through a tractor.

When the women and other family members protested, the land mafia tried to stop them. Family members also beat woman. When the police came to know about the incident, it reached the spot. The entire area was evacuated and an attempt was made to take the injured woman to the hospital immediately. At the same time, the police has registered a case in the Murjhar police station.
