Lucknow: Unregistered vehicles running in Lucknow have become a problem for RTO. Car owners are not on getting their vehicles registered even after repeated notices. Even after completing the 15 years, two and four wheelers continue to run on the road without registration. Now, if such vehicles are caught during checking, a fine of up to five thousand rupees will have to be paid.

The number of such vehicles is 5 lakh 32 thousand in Lucknow and more than 46 lakh in the whole state. This data is from August 1, 2020. Due to these, there is a danger of increasing pollution level in the city. ARTO Ankita Shukla said that "Unregistered vehicle comes under crime. Even after this, the car owners show negligence. Now, if you are caught during checking then a fine of up to five thousand rupees will have to be paid".

The list of registered vehicles from 76 districts reached the headquarters. Most unregistered vehicles were found in Lucknow. While Kanpur is at number two and Varanasi at number three. These vehicles also cause pollution in the cities.
