Director of Health Services Aman War said that of the new cases of corona infection, 31 in East Khasi Hills, 17 from West Khasi District, 3 in Western Garo Hills, 2 in East Garo, Ri-Bhoi and 1-1 in Western Jaintia Hills. He further said, "Among the new infected are 3 soldiers of Border Security Force and 2 personnel of Indian Air Force. ''

According to the director, fourteen people were discharged from the hospital after recovering from corona, with which 744 people have been cured so far. So far 6 infected people have died due to Coronavirus in the state. He further said that 966 patients are currently being treated in Meghalaya. East Khasi Hills District has the highest number of 602 patients undergoing treatment while 221 patients are undergoing treatment in West Garo Hills District and 92 in Ri Bhoi.

Director War said, "In East Khasi Hills District, 227 security personnel are among the 602 infected under treatment. "The number of new cases of Covid-19 in India continues to increase.
