In Jharkhand, the menace of covid continues. According to a report released by the Health Ministry on Friday morning, 5691 new covid cases were detected in the state last Thursday. The highest number of deaths were 59 in Ranchi, 13 in Ramgarh in 12 in East Singhbhum, 11 in Dhanbad and 7 in Bokaro.

Meanwhile, the highest number of 489 deaths in the state capital Ranchi has been reported in The State Capital Ranchi and the lowest number of 4 deaths in Pakur. The pace of death in the state can be gauged from the fact that the national average has gone up from 1.10 to 1.11. While the country's growth rate was 1.3% on April 29, the growth of patients in Jharkhand has almost doubled to 2.55%.
While the doubling rate is 51.48 for the nation, the number of patients in Jharkhand is doubling in 27.52 days. Meanwhile, Jharkhand's recovery rate has also come down sharply. Jharkhand's recovery rate till April 1 was 96.42%. It went up to 74.31% on April 29. While in the country it is 82.10. The speed of covid in the state can be gauged from the fact that 52,225 new patients have been found in just 29 days. As on 1st April, the number of active patients in Jharkhand was 3352. It increased to 55877 on April 29. During this period, 9,68,061 samples were tested in the State. However, in the meantime, 48,608 people have also defeated Corona in the state.
