Jammu, Today, a small batch comprising 596 pilgrims left for twin base camps of Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas amidst tight security.
According to a police officer, "a total of 596 pilgrims, including 411 men, 115 women and 70 sadhus, left in a cavalcade of 27 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu for Pahalgam and Baltal base camps in Kashmir at 12.30 PM".
2,05,330 pilgrims from various parts of the country have paid obeisance at the cave shrine till date.
This year, on july 2, the yatra was started, entered the 26th day today.
