6.1 magnitude earthquake in Japan, 3 killed, 41 wounded

Severe tremors of earthquake were felt on Monday morning in Japan's western city of Osaka. Earthquake intensity was 6.1 on the Richter scale as being reported. According to the local media, due to the trembling the earthquake, many houses were damaged and many houses also fell into the fire. Three people, including a 9-year-old child, are reported to have died due to earthquake, while 41 have been injured.

NBC 6 South Florida tweeted "Strong earthquake knocked over walls and set off scattered fires around the city of Osaka in western Japan on Monday morning, with a 9-year-old girl and two men in their 80s confirmed to have been killed."

Due to the earthquake, the supply of electricity and gas in the whole city was stopped. Air and bullet train services were also stopped because of the earthquake. However, the functioning of flights has started from Osaka Airport and the bullet train service has also been restored. Japan's Meteorological Department has issued instructions to people to be alert in the coming days by issuing warnings to the earthquake again in the western part of the country."
