When you get married to the boy of your dreams and before you could even adjust to the environment there is much more advice is being doled to you.
But nowadays the time is changing. Earlier what things happen is not at all true today. Here are a few pointers that you could ignore for a healthier relationship.

Your partner is ‘The One’
No relationship is perfect so your partner will have his flaws. Expecting him to be perfect puts too much pressure on him to be someone he is not. This, in turn, strains the relationship.

Marriage is easy if you are with the right person
No marriage is easy. It takes two to make a relationship work, and there is a constant give and take involved. This holds true even if you are with the ‘right person’ or your ‘soulmate’.

You should tell your partner everything
Though it is good to have an open discussion and not keep secrets. Doing so doesn’t mean you are a bad person.

Your partner should complete you
It is not your partner’s job to make you feel whole or vice versa. He is a part of your life, not your whole life.

Your partner should be your best friend
It is great if you and your SO can talk about anything under the sun, share hobbies and just hang out with friends. But it is okay if this isn’t the case too.

You should never go to bed angry
You will fight, and you will make up after the fight. Going to bed angry just might give the two of you a chance to take in the reason for the conflict.
