Pithoragarh: On Monday, a jeep for marriage party fell into a gorge in the district, in which six members of a marriage party were killed and four others wounded, an official said.
District Disaster Management Officer R S Rana said, the incident took place when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into a 200 metre deep gorge at Metli bend of Kalanichina block of the district.
Rana added, the members of the marriage party were going from Charandev village to Ghingrani of Kanalichina block. However, the injured were rushed to the hospital.
