Mumbai: Dreadful crime cases are  coming to light day by day. Recently, the case of rape has come to light. The case is of Malwani in North Mumbai. A 16-year-old girl who had gone here to attend her friend's birthday celebrations has been allegedly gangraped. A police official reportedly informed about the case last Saturday. He said that the incident took place on Tuesday night and six persons have been arrested so far in the case.

The search is on for the seventh accused. He further said, "The teenager locked the door of her house from outside to attend her friend's birthday party so that her family could not stop her. Just the next day, she complained of stomach ache and informed her family about the gang rape. In this case, the minor victim said that when she reached her friend's house for a birthday party, she noticed that three of her friends were already waiting for her there.

They then parked the car near a hotel on Marve Road and cut the cake. Three boys raped the victim inside the car after cutting the cake. After somehow leaving, the victim went to her friend's house fearing her parents. The friend she met on Instagram.

The victim further said in her statement that the friend also raped her and then she went to two more friends she met through Instagram and both of them also raped her. In her complaint, the victim has registered the names of seven persons, out of which six persons have been arrested last Friday night itself. However, one arrest is yet to be made.
