6-year-old girl raped in UP, accused sentenced to life imprisonment

Banda: Recently a crime case has come up. On January 3, a court in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district has sentenced a young man to life imprisonment after found guilty in the rape of a six-year-old girl. A fine of 51 thousand rupees has also been imposed on the accused.

The Assistant Government Advocate (ADGC) of POSCO court, Ramsuphal Singh, today said in this case that, '24-year-old youth Chhatrapal, Judge of Upper District and Sessions Court (Posco-4), after hearing the arguments of the prosecution and defence advocates. Kushwaha was sentenced to life imprisonment on Saturday and fined him 51 thousand rupees. The incident is on 29 April 2018 and the convicted youth is from a village in Baberu Kotwali area.

He further added, 'The girl was sleeping with her mother at the time of the incident when the concerned youth sneaked into her house at 11 o'clock and took the girl to isolation and raped her.' Police registered an FIR on May 1, 2018 in this case and Chhatrapal has been in jail since this incident.
