Jaipur: Ahead of the Assembly elections in Rajasthan, the Ashok Gehlot government in the state is leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters. In this episode, 'Beneficiary Festival' has been organized in the state today i.e. on Monday (June 5). During this period, subsidy will be given to 14 lakh beneficiary families of the state under the 'Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Scheme'. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will send Rs 60 crore of subsidy to the accounts of beneficiaries at the press of a button. 

It is noteworthy that beneficiary festivals are being celebrated in 33 districts of the state regarding the gas cylinder subsidy scheme. This state-level program has been organized under the leadership of CM Gehlot at 'Rajasthan International Center' in Jaipur. Under the Indira Gandha Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme, the Gehlot government is providing gas cylinders to 76 lakh consumers for just Rs 500. Chief Minister Gehlot is also scheduled to interact with 10 beneficiaries during the festival. In this program, along with inflation relief camps and cylinder subsidy officers, beneficiaries of schemes will also be present. Beneficiaries from other districts will join the festival through video conference. They will also be shown a film based on the subsidy scheme. 

According to Rajasthan government data, 22 lakh beneficiary consumers of the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme have made refill bookings in April 2023. A total of 76 lakh consumers are being provided gas cylinders for Rs 500. Along with the families selected in the Ujjwala scheme, BPL category gas connection holder families are eligible for this scheme. After registering this scheme, a provision has been made to deposit it in the consumer's bank account twice a month on the basis of transaction data received from gas companies.
