6290 birds died across the country due to bird flu in Rajasthan

New Delhi: The outbreak of bird flu is currently underway in the country. Many birds are losing their lives due to bird flu. The animal husbandry ministry has said that bird flu has been confirmed in poultry birds farm in nine states of Kerala, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab till Friday.

The bird flu has been confirmed in crows, migratory and wild birds in more than 12 states. According to an official statement, bird flu has been found in poultry birds in 9 states and migratory and wild birds in 12 states till Friday. To prevent the increase in avian influenza, 11,200 enclaves were placed in an alpha poultry farm in Chandigarh Administration at Dera Bassi.

In Rajasthan, the total bird death figure in the state has gone up to 6,290 with the death of 197 more birds on Friday. 17 districts of the state are affected by bird flu infection. According to the animal husbandry department, out of 272 samples in 27 districts, 67 samples have been found to be infected. According to the department's report, 102 crow, 62 pigeons, 12 peacocks and 21 other birds died on Friday. 6,290 birds have lost their lives in the state since 25th December till date. These include 4408 crow, 360 peacocks, 539 pigeons and 983 other birds.
