Sivan of Tamil Nadu has become popular on the Internet. He was a postman by profession, who retired only last week. People are requesting the government to give Padma Shri to D. Sivan on social media. However, to send his letter to the people with a monthly income of Rs 12,000, he used to travel about 15 kilometers of hills and forest every day. However, during the journey, he also encountered wild animals. Even these difficult paths and dangerous animals could not shake his spirit.

IAS Supriya Sahu tweeted a picture of D. Sivan on the tweeter and wrote, 'Postman D. Sivan walks 15 km daily through the dense forests of Coonoor and encountering dangerous animals such as elephants, bears and used to deliver letter to people. Along with this, he used to cross slippery paths, waterfalls, and tunnels. He had been working in this way for 30 years in his job. He retired last week.' So far this tweet has received more than 62 thousand likes and more than 12 thousand retweets.

On this post, a user has written, 'I interviewed him in the year 2018. He deserves Bharat Ratna. At least he should be honored with the Padma Shri award.' After this, many people have reacted to this tweet and requested to be given the Padma Shri, postman D. Sivan, tagging the President.
