Bengaluru: On Friday, 6,670 new cases of corona have been reported in Karnataka, with which the total number of corona infections in the state has increased to 1,64,924. According to the health department, after 101 more deaths due to coronavirus, the death toll has reached 2,998. The department said that 3,951 people have been discharged from separate hostels in the state after being free of corona infection.

84,232 healthy people have been discharged in the state so far, while the treatment of 77,686 patients is continuing. Out of 6,670 cases reported on Friday, 2,147 cases of corona infection have been reported in the Bengaluru city area alone. A total of 16,24,628 samples have been examined so far in the state.

With more than 60,000 cases of corona being reported for the first time in the country within 24 hours, the total number of cases of corona infection reached over two million on Friday. While the number of patients recovering from the disease reached 13.78 lakh. The Central Health Ministry gave this information. Only two days ago, the number of cases of corona infection had crossed 19 lakhs. In India, it took 110 days for Corona cases to reach one lakh, and in 59 days this figure reached one million. After this, the cases of corona infection took only 21 days to cross the figure of 20 lakhs.
