Bengaluru: The recent incident which has come to light from Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, is very embarrassing. In this case, a 68-year-old priest has allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl at her daughter's house in the temple premises. According to the information received, the police have identified the accused as Venkataramanappa. This incident is being reported as of Tuesday evening. In this case, the accused living in Chikkaballapura was looking after the temple in the absence of his son-in-law.
According to a website report, on Tuesday evening, when the 10-year-old girl was playing outside the temple, the accused called the girl on the pretext of giving sweets. He then took her to her daughter's house near the temple and raped her. When the girl did not return home by evening, her parents started looking for her. A flower seller sitting near the temple told the victim's family that she had seen the girl going to the priest's house.
The family members and other neighbours then went to the priest's house. During that time they found the girl crying there. The girl narrated the tragedy to the family members. The family then immediately informed the police. In this case, Venkataramanappa has been arrested by the police.
