7 actors who exposed casting couch in Industry

A debate about whether acasting couch exists or not in the industry is very old. Some Bollywood celebrities say that it doesn't exist and even if exists it didn’t come in their way while some Bollywood celebrities says it does exist in the industry and even shared the incidents of the casting couch. Here is a list of actors who were exposed casting couch in Bollywood.

Ayushman Khurrana: Speaking about casting Ayushmann once said, “ I have been through that initially when I was part of the industry. I was a TV anchor, so a casting director directly told me that I would have to do it. So, I told him that if I was not straight, I might have given it a thought, but I can't do it. So yeah, the casting couch exist.”

Kalki Koechlin: Yeh Jawani he Deewani actress Kalki once spills the beans on casting couch in bollywood. She recalled an incident where a certain producer under the pretext of ‘getting to know him’ asked her out for a late dinner. He even promised her the film in case she accepted his invitation. One of the biggest points she made in a video that she released in the wake of the #MeToo movement was, “People don’t listen to you if you are a nobody, but if you are a celebrity it only becomes a shocking headline.”

Radhika Apte: Radhika revealed that she knows a lot of instances of casting couch and also knew a number of people who have gone through it. The actress once recalled an instance of a South actor trying to get 'flirtatious'. As she turned him down by being rude, he later went on to fight with her. She shocked everyone when she said that even a Bollywood film came her way, and was asked to meet the makers. But, on the condition that she would have to sleep with that person.

Kangana Ranaut: Kangana Ranaut is an abusive relationship with actor Aditya Pancholi. She claimed that Pancholi physically abused her when she was 17 and with much efforts, she ran out of the oppressive relation. The actress also several times said that She has faced the casting couch in the industry and even spoken against it.

Ranveer Singh: Ranveer Singh once said that casting couch exist in Industry. He added, “Yes, casting couch does exist in the industry. I've experienced it during my struggling days. But it depends on how you tackle the situation. I chose to decline politely.”

Payal Rohtagi: Payal speaking about casting couch once shares an incident said one-night Dibaker Bannerjee( filmmaker)dropped by her apartment for a chat but later asked her to pull her shirt up saying she had gained weight and that he needed to check. Rohatgi ousted the filmmaker from her house refusing to give in and later informed that she was replaced by the film due to this.

Mamta Kulkarni : One of the famous actor of 90s Mamta Kulkarni had accused filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi of casting couch during the filming of China Gate. She claimed that the director had asked for sex as a compromise for the film. There were several reports that the actress accept it.

Chitrangada Singh: One of the famous actresses of Bollywood Chitrangada once revealed an incident in which she was shooting with Nawaz. The actress said ,“We finished the [intimate] shot and Kushan Nandy( director) said that he didn’t like it. He wanted me to lie on top of Nawaz. Now let me tell you that I was wearing a petticoat for that scene,” says Singh. We had already shot a montage where Kushan wanted me to do something similar. Nawaz and I had also kissed in that montage, and now Kushan wanted a 7-second kiss in the intimate scene.”Chitrangda walked out of the movie following these incidents.
