The month of Sawan is going on and devotion to Baba Bhole also continues with vigor. The month of Sawan is special in many ways. Throughout the month of Sawan, devotees offer special prayers to Lord Shiva. Today we are giving you such information related to the worship of Lord Shiva, in which you will know what 7 things should not be offered on Shivling, or else these things should not be used in the worship of Shiva.

- Conch water: Conch is not used in the worship of Lord Shiva. This is because Lord Shiva killed the demon named Shankhchud and it was there that he was a devotee of Vishnu. Conch is not used in the worship of Lord Shiva but for worship of Lord Vishnu.

- Basil leaf is also not used in the worship of Shiva. This is because Tulsi was born from the share of Vrinda, wife of Asura named Jalandhar, and was accepted as a wife by Lord Vishnu. Therefore, Lord Shiva is not worshiped even with Tulsi.

- Sesame (Til) is believed to be produced from the scum of Lord Vishnu. Therefore, Lord Shiva should not be worshiped even with this.

- Be it Lord Shiva or any other deity, should not be worshiped with broken rice. Broken rice falls into the fragmented category.

- Lord Shiva is recluse and does not even put kumkum because kumkum is a symbol of good luck.

- Turmeric is also not used in the worship of Shiva because it is also considered a symbol of good luck and it is offered to Lord Vishnu.

- Even coconut does not offer to Lord Shiva. It is considered the symbol of Lakshmi Ji and Lakshmi Ji is related to Lord Vishnu.
