Gurgaon: A speeding car allegedly hit seven year old girl succumbed to injuries after remaining in coma for over a week, police said on Wednesday.
The victim identified as Jiya Juneja, a Class 3 student at Ryan International School in Sector 40 here, was hit by a car after her school bus dropped her on the wrong side of the road on May 9 near her house in Krishna Colony.
Jiya succumbed to her injuries at the Medanta Medicity hospital. While the school bus driver has been arrested, the car that hit the girl is still untraceable.
"We have examined all the CCTV footage available close to the accident site but car that hit the child could not be traced," Shailender Shyoran, chief of Sector 5 police station.
