In the last few days, the political stir in the world has become extremely fast. Meanwhile, the Oli government of Nepal is continuously creating a bad environment against India under pressure from China and to avoid internal politics. First, the Kalapani tension was fueled, now the No Mans Land on Tanakpur border was barricaded through the cover of the plantation through citizens.

All this is happening when 70 years are being fulfilled in the treaty of 31 July 1950, known as the Treaty of Friendship between Independent India and Nepal. Retired Professor Shekhar Pathak said in his statement, the unfortunate efforts made by the Oli government of Nepal have not affected the relations between the citizens of the two countries, but the situation does not improve soon, then it will create problem.

Under the 1950 treaty, the border of the two countries is open to each other's citizens, and they are allowed to live and work without restrictions in each other's countries. This treaty has been the cause of a deep friendship between the two countries for the past 70 years. Retired Major BS Rautela further said that in 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had his counterpart due to the two-day visit to Nepal, after talks with Sushil Koirala, both countries had agreed to review the old treaty. Suggestions were also sought from Nepal on the points of review of the treaty. That is only to be harmed due to cracks in the relationship between India and Nepal.
