700 Students in a college tested COVID-19 positive, the college president resigns

In view of the high number of corona positive tested in a New York University the president of the college has resigned. Since the beginning of the semester the university reports high number of coronavirus cases among the students within the university.

Oneonta's State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor Jim Malatras said Dr. Barbara Jean Morris had "transitioned from her position as president" and that she wanted to "pursue other opportunities in a statement announcing the new interim president. The need for new president has arise of Dr. Barbara Jean Morris resignation.  SUNY Oneonta has reported 712 student cases of Covid-19 since August 17, 2020 when the university semester begins recently the university has shifted its study mode online. The rising number of virus cases made SUNY Oneonta to switch from in-person learning to an entirely online format from the late August.Across 61 different campuses 1,167 positive cases were reported. 

10.27% of COVID 19 positive cases in US were children

The university decision of not to test students or quarantine them on arrival after the growth in positive test results made the sitting president to resign. The management reacted late as already the virus widespreads. The management was too late to respond. Across 61 branches, the SUNY Oneonta has about 6,700 students enrolled, says its website. The university management is in search for someone to fill Morris' role permanently will begin soon.
