Jalore: Unidentified killers killed a priest sleeping in hanuman temple hut in Jalore district of Rajasthan on Monday night (November 29, 2021). According to police, the attackers had entered the temple with the intention of stealing and attacked the priest with a knife and saria and killed them. The incident took place late at 2 pm. The incident came to light when locals rushed to the spot after the elderly priest screamed. Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and admitted the injured priest to a hospital for treatment.

The priest succumbed to his injuries on the morning of Tuesday (November 30, 2021) during treatment. The deceased priest had been living in the hut for the past 30 years. At present, police have registered a case of murder and started searching for the accused. The case pertains to Dhumbadia village under Bagora police station area in Jalore district. According to a police officer, Nenudas Vaishnav (70), a resident of Dhumbadia village, had been serving in the Hanuman temple for the past 30 years and lived there in a hut.

According to police, he fell asleep after performing puja on Monday as usual. Around 2 pm, some miscreants entered the hut with the intention of stealing, which the priest noticed. After this, the miscreants not only beat up the priest with kicks and punches, but also attacked with knives and bars. The donation vessel kept in the hut has also been missing since the incident. In the case, DSP (Bheenmal) Shankar Lal said that the body of the priest was handed over to the family after conducting postmortem. Meanwhile, several police teams have been formed to nab the accused. Police are currently conducting searches at various places in search of the accused. Jalore police said that on the information of the incident, CO bheenmal, police officer Bagora and police officer Bheenmal rushed to the spot.
