72 women officers send legal notice to Defence Ministry

72 women officers of the Indian force have sent legal notices to the Union Defence Ministry. In the notice, these women officers have asked the Ministry to strictly comply with the Supreme Court order ordering the permanent commission to women in the Army. Women officers' advocate Major Sudhanshu Pandey reported this on Thursday.

The same Major Pandey said, "A notice has been sent from 72 women officers who are fully qualified to get permanent commission on the basis of a clear and clear order of the Supreme Court dated 25th March this year." He said, "The order clearly told the Ministry of Defence and concerned officers that women officers should not be compared to the standards prescribed for male officers of their batch."

At the same time, the order had on September 5 last year, the Selection Board had asked for a permanent commission to all women officers who were found unfit for 5 marks, who had secured 60 percent marks. The Supreme Court had given two months' time to the Defence Ministry to comply with the order.
