Turkey's health ministry said that it had recorded 72,856 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of infections to 10,881,626.

In Turkey, the number of persons who have died as a result of the virus has risen by 184 to 85,600, with 89,926 more people healing in the previous 24 hours. According to the report, 417,161 tests were performed on the previous day. Turkey launched mass COVID-19 vaccination on January 14, 2021, after officials allowed the use of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine in an emergency situation.

Over 57.33 million people have gotten their initial doses of the vaccine, with over 52.25 million receiving their second doses. Over 140.66 million doses, including third booster shots, have been provided in Turkey thus far.
