New Delhi: Today the nation is celebrating 72nd Independence with patriotic fervor wich can be felt all across the country. This is the day when we not recall the cultural differences and come together as Indians to mark one of the most important days in the history of our nation. Here are 5 places that you can visit to muse over about our freedom struggle.

-Red Fort

This is the one of the most-visited places during Independence Day where our esteemed Prime Minister addresses the nation to give the Independence Day speech from the national capital New Delhi.

-India Gate

This is the historic place where Amar Jawan Jyoti burns to honor the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. People visit this place to remember the soldiers without whom to maintain independence and protect our borders cannot be possible.

-Jalianwala Bagh

The Jalianwala Bagh, in Amritsar where 380 non-violent protestors were killed cruelly by British troops on 13 April, 1919 has the most significant place in the Indian history. A visit of this place rise the patriotic vibes.

-Sabarmati Ashram

Mahatma Gandhi, who lived here for 12 years, is located on the banks of the Sabarmati River. Various movements to get freedom have begun from this Ashram.

-Jhansi Fort

The Jhansi fort is located in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh where India's first war for Independence was held in the year 1957. The fort is famous because the warrior queen Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi led  the freedom movement from here.
