Chandigarh: With the death of 73 people due to corona infection in Punjab, the death toll has risen to 1,690. 1,527 new cases of Corona have increased to 58,515 on Thursday. This information has been given in the official bulletin. Now 15,554 patients are being treated in the state. According to the bulletin, eighteen people died in Ludhiana, 10 in Kapurthala, 7 in Jalandhar and 5 people from Patiala, Ferozepur and Moga each died of coronavirus.

According to the bulletin, 4 died in Amritsar, 3 in Rupnagar, 2-2 in Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur and Sangrur and 1 in Bathinda, Fazilka, Mohali, Muktsar, SBS Nagar and Taran Taran each. In this bulletin issued, it was said that 1,529 patients were discharged from hospital after recovering from the infection. In this way, the number of people recovering in the state has increased to 41,271. It has been said that 68 seriously ill patients are on a ventilator, while 470 patients are on oxygen support.

Coronavirus cases in India have crossed the 39 lakh mark. On Friday, 83,341 new cases were reported in one day. According to the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Friday morning, the death toll has risen to 68,472 with 1,096 deaths in the last 24 hours. Corona cases in India have increased to 39,36,748, of which 8,31,124 people are undergoing treatment and 30,37,152 people have been cured of this infection after treatment.
