8 killed, 324 taken ill due to heatstroke in Rajasthan

Rajasthan: After suffering heatstroke, 8 persons were killed, while 324 others are being given treatment. 324 people were given treatment at hospitals in Chittorgarh, Dholpur, Nagaur, Tonk, Bundi, Bhilwara, Banswara and Churu.

Whereas seven persons in Jodhpur and one in Jalore have died due to heatstroke. State Health Minister Rajendra Rathore reviewed the heat situation in a meeting and directed the officials to make appropriate arrangements for the outbreak of seasonal diseases.

The control rooms were asked to remain active and send response team on information of outbreak of any disease.
