Lucknow: rape victim and her mother have filed a petition before the Lucknow bench of the high court seeking permission to abort the victim. The victim is eight months pregnant. On the petition, the court ordered the Barabanki CMO to empanel three expert doctors and conduct a free trial. The court has also summoned the medical report in a sealed cover. The next hearing of the case will be held on July 6.

A vacation bench of Justices Ramesh Sinha and Ajay Kumar Srivastava passed the matter on June 29 while hearing a written petition filed by the victim and her mother in this regard. The court has ordered the board to give a clear report from the medical board regarding the condition of the minor girl and the condition of her womb and the mental condition of the victim. The court has also sought the board's advice on what mental condition the minor will have to face if she gives birth to a child in her womb.

In fact, in the case of the Kursi police station area of Barabanki, her relative had sexual relations with the victim. The victim's mother lodged a complaint of molestation against the boy on June 4 last. Investigations have revealed that the minor has a womb. After this, the section of rape has also been increased in the matter. Meanwhile, the victim's mother and the victim herself have filed a petition in the High Court seeking permission from the court to abort the pregnancy. As a rule, a pregnancy of up to 21 weeks can be allowed to be aborted. The court was told that if the minor is not allowed to abort the pregnancy, then there will be a serious attack on the social and mental condition of the born child and the victim herself.
