In India, 8 out of 10 people have faced online harassment (online harassment) in some form. 41 percent of women had to suffer sexual harassment on the web. This is revealed in a new survey by Cyber Security Solutions firm Norton. This online survey was done in the summer of 2017 and sample of 1,035 participants was taken. Most of the Tier-1 cities were included in the survey. 

50% of people are troll
The most inappropriate behavior and abusive behavior in online harassment have surfaced. 63 percent of the people surveyed said that they were never abused or abused. 59 percent of the people said they had to face malicious gossip and rumors. At the same time, 54 per cent of people have to face hateful comments and threats on social media sites. 50 percent of the people surveyed have been victims of trolling. 

The most online harassment in India

It has also been found in the study that in the survey the four countries of Asia Pacific region (India, Australia, New Zealand and Japan) have been included, among them the highest online heritage record has been recorded in India. 45 percent of the people surveyed have had to face cyber bulling. Ritesh Chopra, Country Manager, Norton by Samantech, says, "Indian social media spend lot of time on platforms and mobile applications, in which it is necessary to take precautionary measures to protect their safety." 

Delhi-Mumbai ahead of online sexual harassment
According to the study, in 42 per cent of cyberbullying cases and about half of cyber stocking victims are women. It has been found in the survey that online harassment of men and women has a similar experience. In Mumbai, 51 per cent of the people have faced threats of physical violence. At the same time, 47 per cent in Delhi, 46 per cent of people in Hyderabad received such threats. At the same time, 43 per cent of people in Delhi and Mumbai had to suffer online sexual harassment.
