New Delhi: There has been a stir in Parliament after 875 employees were found corona infected. Parliament Secretariat has informed that just before the budget session of Parliament starting from January 31, Chairman and Vice President of the Upper House M Venkaiah Naidu, as well as 875 staff of the House, have been found to be Corona positive.

This figure is of testing conducted until January 20 after the beginning of the third wave of the epidemic. The budget session of Parliament is scheduled to begin on January 31 and the first part will conclude on February 11. Since the third wave began in Parliament, 2,847 corona tests have been conducted and 875 of them have reported positive. He said out of the total investigation, 915 investigations were conducted by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat and 271 samples were confirmed to be infections.

The Secretariat has informed that the budget session will be held following the Covid Protocol. He said that in view of the increase in corona cases, whether the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will function together or in different shifts, a decision is yet to be taken. Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has also been found corona positive. That's the second time he's hit by corona.
