According to the latest report of the Health Department, the total number of cases across the state has gone up to 20,38,690, of which 1337 new cases are on Sunday. With this, there has been an increase in the cases of coronavirus. Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 14,070 with 9 new deaths in the last twenty-four hours, including three each in Chittoor and Krishna, one each in Prakasam, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari districts. On the other hand, 1282 new patients were cured on Sunday, taking the total number of recoveries to 20,09,921 and there are currently 14,699 active cases.

As per district wise data, 277 new cases have been reported in Chittoor, followed by 198 in East Godavari, 161 in Prakasam while 3 in Kurnool district. Andhra Pradesh conducted 68,568 Covid-19 tests in the last twenty-four hours, taking around 2.77 crore tests across the state. India reported 30,773 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, ending at 8 am on Sunday. So far more than 3.34 crore people have been found infected. Active cases have come down to 3.32 lakh.

In other news, fans traveling to the UAE to watch the second half of the 14th edition of the IPL in the UAE will have to follow certain guidelines imposed by the BCCI in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. As per the new rules, fans visiting the Dubai International Cricket Stadium will not need a negative RT-PCR test result, but will need double vaccination proof.
