Vijayawada: A fierce fire broke out in a hotel in Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh today. After receiving information, the fire tenders reached the spot and got control over fire. This hotel was being used as a Covid Center. Other people trapped in the hotel have also been evacuated safely, while 9 people have lost their lives. This accident happened in the Hotel Golden Palace. 40 people were present in the hotel. There were 30 corona patients and hospital staff of 10 people.

Fire has also been controlled after hard work. The injured have been admitted to the local hospital for treatment. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy himself is monitoring the entire matter and has directed the administration to provide better treatment to the injured. PM Narendra Modi has spoken to CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and assured of all possible help. PM Modi has expressed grief over this incident.

At present, after getting control of the fire, the entire building has been evacuated and a large number of police forces have been deployed on the spot. While giving information, Vijayawada Commissioner of Police B Srinivasulu has said that, 'The fire was reported at around 5:09 am, the fire was controlled in 25-30 minutes. 15-20 people trapped in the hotel have been rescued and sent to another private hospital. The condition of some is critical in the hospital.
