New Delhi: Mukesh, a farmer, was burnt alive in a 'kisan andolan' on Delhi's Tikri border to make him a 'martyr'. Mukesh's death was followed by a panchayat in Kasar village under Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar, Haryana, which was also attended by Rohtak Lok Sabha MP Arvind Kumar Sharma. Mukesh Mudgil's son Rahul also reached the same panchayat and sat directly in front of the MP. He is only 9 years old.

According to media reports, Rahul told the panchayat, "Today is Father's Day. All the children are remembering their father. I am also reminded of my father today. My father never scolded me. I have never seen him quarreled with anyone. You just answer why my father was burnt?" Amidst silence in the Panchayat, MP Sharma assured that the culprits would definitely be punished. He has asked the Government for a reply as to whose behest such a large number of agitators have been made to sit outside our houses. He said that when goons dressed as protesters harass the men and women of the village, there will be a controversy. The villagers blamed the officials who provided free electricity and other facilities to the criminals under the guise of agitators.

In Haryana, State President of Bharatiya Kisan Union, Anil Nandal said that farmers will gather at Ghazipur border on July 10 and march to Haridwar on behalf of Delhi. In uttarakhand, there is also a plan to campaign against the BJP in the form of a memorandum to the President. On the other hand, Bhakiu national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has again threatened the Central government. He said the government is not going to accept, so 'treatment' has to be done.
