The race for admission to nursery, KG and first class in the capital 1709 private schools started on Friday. 90 schools have not uploaded the website of Criteria DOE (Department of Education) even a day after the stipulated time, despite the strictness of the Directorate of Education. Due to this, parents were very upset on the first day for admission in about one and a half lakh seats as most schools have set aside points in Criteria. The most confused among parents is about Neighborhood Point as the distance from school to school is being adopted by Google map, school bus route or colony calculation criteria.

Screw trapped at home from school
Parents, who arrived at the Universal School in East Delhi's Preet Vihar on Friday morning to inquire about nursery admission, said that the distance from home to school at Neighborhood Point was not understood. Troubled parents say that in applying to ten schools, they tested the criterion, and all are pointing out different points in the distance from home to school. A woman named Sonakshi said that she is traveling around all the schools by car to measure the distance from home to school, so that she can get the correct information. Many schools are also measuring home distance from the bus route. Many schools have also set a neighborhood based on the list of colonies around them. In such a situation, if their colony is not included in the school list, then their child's admission will be difficult.

Some school girl giving extra points to child
In the nursery admission application, some schools are giving extra marks for girl child. On giving additional points to the girl child, the schools have written in the prospectus that they have taken this decision due to the gender balance. Therefore parents are advised to fill the application form carefully when they are a girl child as they may get marks in addition.

Violation of order doing school on neighborhood
Despite the strictness of the Directorate of Education and the direction of the court, the parents have been entangled by the schools from different points in the distance from home to school. The school management is measuring the distance of school-house based on Google map, distance of school from the colony registered in the school and kilometers from bus route. In such a situation, parents are upset about whom they think is right. The DOE is required to give clear instructions in this regard.
