Mumbaiites get major relief, 95% local trains to run on track soon

Mumbai: There has been a relief about the operation of local trains called Lifeline in Mumbai. According to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, 204 additional Mumbai local trains will start from January 29, 2021. At the same time, 95 percent of Mumbai local trains will run on the tracks.  According to information received by the Railway Minister, Western Railway and Central Railway have decided to increase Mumbai suburban services from 2,781 to 2,985 local trains from January 29.

In which Central Railway has decided to increase suburban services from the existing 1,580 to 1,685. While Western Railway has decided to extend 1,201 suburban services to 1,300. However, only those who are in need of these local trains will be able to travel. In fact, only passengers allowed by the Ministry of Railways and the Maharashtra government have been allowed to travel by suburban trains.

The railways have urged others not to visit the stations. It is mandatory for passengers to follow physical distances and other Covid-19 rules (SOP) to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic during the journey.
