A 14-year-old school going boy was found dead in the school toilet. the boy studies in Sainik School in South Karnataka’s Kodagu district . His parents claiming that he was murdered.
Chingappa, studies in 9th standard he was the son of Naganda T Poovaiad, a hockey coach at the school.
The school authority is claiming that the 14-year-old was found unconscious and then they shifted him to the hospital where the Doctor declared him dead.
The family and locals from the student's village in Kushalanagar, 234 km from Bengaluru, protested outside the hospital where the student's body has been kept.
The student's family says that the school authorities sent the boy's body to a government hospital without informing the local police.
According to reports, a case has been filed against the school’s vice-principal and four other employees following the protests.
The School authorities said, “Cadet Chingappa NP was declared brought dead by the PHC, Kudige, on June 23 at 8 pm. Earlier in the day, the cadet was counselled by the teacher for an act of indiscipline. In the evening, he was found unconscious in the washroom and taken to the hospital. The school is rendering all support to the police.”
