Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) replaced Kumar Vishwas as the party’s Rajasthan in-charge because he was not taking interest in the affairs of the state unit, a senior AAP leader Ashutosh has said.

Members alleged that senior members of AAP Rajasthan are unhappy with Vishwas for not devoting time and resources even after knowing that Rajasthan goes to the polls in December. While they wanted Vishwas to take an active interest in building the organization in Rajasthan, Vishwas was keen to cross the threshold of Rajya Sabha from Delhi.

AAP’s political affairs committee (PAC) was considering his replacement and names of other senior leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Ashutosh, are in first priorities according to Rajasthan AAP leader Devender Shastri.

But  Deepak Vajpayee has replaced Vishwas. The decision was taken by PAC and a senior AAP leader Ashutosh announced the suspension in the press meet. Ashutosh told that the Aam Aadmi Party has decided that the elections of Rajasthan assembly will fight with full force and Deepak Vajpayee has been leaving in Jaipur for a long time and keeps sending the status report from there.

Vishwas was made AAP Rajasthan in-charge in May 2017 as a compromise formula. The crack among AAP founder members came to the front again when Vishwas took a dig at Arvind Kejriwal after he was denied a Rajya Sabha ticket.
