To stay fit and healthy, 45 minutes of walking is the best and the most inexpensive way. Experts link the various health benefits with daily walking. According to the new research conducted by experts says that the there is a huge role of walking in cutting the risk of having cancer.

According to a couple of studies presented at the conference in Chicago says that just 25 minutes of active walking every day may not only cut the risk of cancer but also help people fight against the debilitating disease. 

The study was conducted on cancer patients achieved that engaging in physical activity for at least 150 minutes a week affected survival rate and the rise of the disease. Besides this, a well-maintained diet and a healthy weight also had positive effects. According to NDTV, in another study, experts from Yale University noted, "After treatment, weight loss is the most powerful thing you can do. It is the next best pill for treatment and it is free and has no side effects. Every woman diagnosed with breast cancer should be counselled about weight loss and weight management, and about the role of exercise," Melinda Irwin from Yale University was quoted by PTI.

Researchers followed almost 5,000 breast cancer patients. They have found that three hours of energetic walking a week was linked with a 46% fall in death rates. Scientists found that a daily active walk of 25 minutes almost split the death among breast cancer patients while a waistline larger than 35 inches rose death rates by a third.
