Adityanath commences Cleanliness drive at river Gomti

Yogi Adityanath the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has begun a cleanliness campaign on the river bank of Gomti on Sunday.
The Chief Minister has been joined by cabinet ministers, the mayor, and a number of MLAs.
 While addressing a crowd at the event, Adityanath shared his opinion Citizen's active participation is required to keep the surrounding clean.

The chief minister affirmed, "The India Mahatma Gandhi had dreamt of was not only about an independent India, but also a clean India. Our vow should be to clean our country and serve Mother India. There are so many countries in the world that are known for their cleanliness, and that is due to the efforts of the citizens in those countries."

Adityanath also appealed the public to devote some of their time towards the cleanliness of their surrounding. Approximately 7000 volunteers have been provided with the safety gears. The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' launched on October 2, 2014, by the Central Government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, intended at achieving a 'Clean India' by 2019.

Chief Minister, Adityanath at various events, has discussed this drive and has many a time volunteered to clean up the state.
Recently he took a broom and started to clean the slum area of Lucknow.
