The shocking revelation of Taushree Dutta about her sexual harrasment gave rise to a new movement in India. In this movement victims are exposing many big names like Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Rajat kapoor and Chatan Bhagat. Recently,journalist Karishma Upadhyay, TV actress Saloni Chopra and Bollywood actress Rachel White accused director Sajid Khan of sexual harassment. Post accusation, Actor Akshay Kumar who was working with Sajid canceled shooting for Houseful 4. Now, its actor Riteish Deshmukh who came against the director.
Riteish took to Twitter and appreciated the women who are sharing their experience about their harassment. The actor wrote “Deeply disturbing to hear and read the news of so many women who had to go through these incidents of harassment in various fields. I think it’s extremely brave of every women to have shared their stories. All need to be heard and not judged. I stand with them today. # me too.
A popular Director and also the sister of Sajid, Farah Khan also said that she does not support such conduct of his brother and further added that If my brother has behaved in this manner he has a lot to atone for.
The #Me Too movement have inspired the victims to share their ordeal on social media. Many Bollywood celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Twinkle Khanna, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Sushmita Sen came in the support of this movement.
