After Twin Victory, PM Modi arrived in Mangalore to review operations for cyclone Ockhi victims

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India] December 19 (NT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on the wee hours of Monday night in Mangalore. Here PM Modi will take stock of the condition left behind by cyclone Ochi.

On The microblogging wbsiteTwitterr, PM Modi shared "Leaving for Mangaluru, Karnataka. Tomorrow, I will visit Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala and extensively review the situation that has arisen due to #CycloneOckhi. I will meet cyclone victims, fishermen, farmers, officials and public representatives," Prime Minister Modi tweeted a few hours before.

PM Modi further said on his twitter handle that the Centre is putting every possible effort to monitor the situation and make sure rescue operations.

"Since #CycloneOckhi struck, Centre has been monitoring the situation round the clock and ensuring proper rescue and relief operations. We have been working closely with the Governments of the affected states. We stand shoulder to shoulder with all those affected by the cyclone,"  From the tweeter wall of PM read.

For now, Archbishop of the Latin Rite Archdiocese of Trivandrum, Soosa Pakiam today uttered gratification on Prime Minister Modi's decision to pay the visit on Cyclone Ockhi-affected areas and look forward to beneficial actions for fishermen.

Prime Minister Modi will also analyze the status of relief actions taken by Govt. at Kavaratti, Kanyakumari, and Thiruvananthapuram. Modi will also get together with officials and public legislative body, and sufferers, together with fishermen and farmer delegations.
