Ahead of MP Assembly polls, Amit Shah's roadshow in Bhopal called off due to security reasons

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party national head Amit Shah was programmed to address a public meeting and conduct a roadshow in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday ahead of Assembly Elections however, the plan has been called off  due to security reasons.

The roadshow was put down for to take place at 5 pm in Bhopal North Assembly constituency in support of BJP applicant Fatima Rasool Siddiqui.

Amit Shah was to begin from the curfewed Mata Mandir Bhavani Chowk to Somvara, Lakharapura, Savarkar Chowk, Peepal Chowk, Sarafa Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Loha Bazar, Jumaratari, Chhote Bhaiya Corner, Hanuman Ganj, Mangalwara, Chhawan Chowk and conclude the roadshow at Bharat Talkies Chauraha.

Media reports suggested that the roadshow was called off following reports from intelligence agencies.

On Sunday, the BJP chief held rallies and road shows in the four cities of Satna, Rewa, Sidhi and Umaria in Vindhya in Madhya Pradesh.

Shah termed the grand old Congress party an 'ATM' of false promises, which had no person in charge or ideology when he was addressing a public meeting at Waidhan in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh ahead of the November 28 state Assembly polls.

Shah also took a jibe at the rival party for failing to declare the name of its chief ministerial candidate in the state.

Worth mention here The 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly will go to the polls on November 28 while the results will be announced on December 11.
