Just reported confirmed that the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has replaced Anushka Sharma in the upcoming movie titled 'Jasmine', where she will be playing the role of a surrogate mother. Writer duo Siddharth and Garima, of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' (TEPK) and 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela', turn directors with the movie, which is being co-produced by Prernaa Arora and Shree Narayan Singh.

Speaking about the movie, Garima told a leading daily, "We have been researching on surrogacy mother for nearly four years. Films have been made on it in the past, but our story is based on the people we've met, including the surrogates and their families. It is not going to be preachy, but entertaining."

The actress will have a meaty role to bite into. Garima says, "The character is very quirky. Having said that, I must add that it also deals with both social and emotional issues around the subject of surrogacy. The woman doesn't know about motherhood and what happens after that. You must've heard the saying that it is a child that gives birth to a mother, so the film is based on that thought."
