The actor Akshay Kumar is known for delivering more than 4-5 years in a year. He was last seen in Reema Kagti's Gold in which he played the role of a hockey coach. The film hit the theatres this year during Independence Day and the film made a fair business at the box office. Gold was not the actor's first Independence day release. He had a few releases during this time earlier, like Rustom (2016) and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017). Now his upcoming film Mission Mangal will also releasing during Independence Day next year.

Few days ago, the Housefull actor announced the scast of Mission Mangal which includes Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari, Taapsee Pannu, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menon. Now, Khiladi Kumar took to his Twitter page to announce the release date of the film. His Tweet reads"A powerful true story of ordinary people with extraordinary dreams, on an unheard of mission to achieve the impossible. #MissionMangal will come alive on 15th August, 2019. See you at the theaters. @foxstarhindi".
