England former captain, Alastair Cook has announced his retirement from International cricket. The news of this outstanding player is creating lot of buzz as he is one of the most talented and praised captain of England. He will play his last match against India which is beginning from September 7.

On his decision regarding retirement, the 32-year-old player said that After much thought and deliberation over the last few months I have decided to announce my retirement from international cricket at the end of this Test series against India.

Former Captain was struggling making runs and had series against India so far, scoring only 109 runs four Test matches. He further added that he has achieved more than he could have ever imagined and feel very privileged to have played for such a long time alongside some of the greats of the English game.

The International career of Cook was quite amazing and impressing.  The 33-year-old player has scored 12,254 runs in 160 Tests for England and is on sixth place in the all-time list of Test run-scorers, who scored a record 11,627 Test runs as an opener.

Surely, the retirement of such an amazing player will be a great loss for English cricket. Currently, England is to plays last test match against India from September 7 in which it holds the lead of 3-1.
