Amit Shah: Jodi of Yogi-Modi means growth and progress of UP

BJP president Amit Shah is leading a mega show of strength in Rahul Gandhi's mainstay of Amethi today.

Amethi is known worldwide as it has been the stronghold of Nehru and Gandhi family. But, what progress took place here before BJP govt came to power?

I have come to see how a winning candidate has remained absent and the runner-up has been repeating Amethi.

When I was campaigning for Maharani Sahiba (Garima Singh), I had asked for a win. Today I have come on the invitation of Smriti Irani.

"I want to thank the people of Amethi," BJP president Amit Shah said in Amethi, adding that the people of Amethi had supported BJP.

"I have come here because I want the people of Amethi to hold development in arms," he said.

"Narendra Modiji, even after not getting the desired results, never neglected Amethi," Shah said.

"Three generations of the Congress were voted to come in power in Amethi. And you, Rahul baba, ask us what we did in meager 3 years?" he said.
