Amit Shah Announced Thushar Vellappally to contest against Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad

On Monday, the NDA has also decided its candidate from Wayanad seat in Kerala. BJP President Amit Shah tweeted that Tushar Vellapalli, president of BJP-ally Bharat Dharma Jana Sena will be NDA candidate from Wayanad. Congress president Rahul Gandhi is also contesting from Wayanad.

Vellapalli Natesan had formed the Bharat Dharm Jan Sena in Kerala in 2015, whose president is now his son Tushar Vellapalli. This is a component group of NDA in Kerala. On Sunday, Congress had announced that Rahul Gandhi would contest from Amethi besides the Wayanad seat in Kerala. Since then this seat has become the subject of discussion. Rahul is going to contest elections for the first time from a South Indian state. Earlier, Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have also turned to the south.
